Mac Sinise — January 5, 2024
A musician, a veteran advocate, and Gary Sinise's son. He worked for the Foundation until bone cancer took him at 33.
Gary Sinise & The Lt. Dan Band
Gary Sinise has performed 500+ concerts for troops, veterans, and first responders worldwide. Mac Sinise shared that mission — working as a music manager for the Foundation.
♫ He Recorded an Album While Dying
McCanna "Mac" Sinise was diagnosed with Chordoma — a rare bone cancer at the base of the skull — in 2018. In his final months, he recorded an album called "Resurrection & Revival." All vinyl proceeds go to the Gary Sinise Foundation. He gave everything he had until the end.
Veteran Advocate
Mac joined the Gary Sinise Foundation in February 2017. He managed music programs and created the Foundation's podcast — giving veterans a voice.
Music Manager
Mac worked alongside his father to bring the Lt. Dan Band to military bases, hospitals, and memorial events. Music was how they served.
Chordoma
Diagnosed in 2018, Mac fought for six years. He never stopped working for veterans. He died January 5, 2024 at age 33 — leaving behind a legacy of service.
Final Act
"Resurrection & Revival" — recorded while battling cancer. Every vinyl sold goes to the Foundation. His last act was a gift to the veterans he loved.
